The RRC CONNECTION REESTABLISHMENT REJECT message is used to indicate the rejection of an RRC CONNECTION REESTABLISHMENT REQUEST.
Upon receiving the RRC CONNECTION REESTABLISHMENT REJECT message, the UE shall leave RRC_CONNECTED state with release cause 'RRC connection failure'

ReplyDelete3GPP haven't defined any reject cause in the RRC Connection Reestablishment Reject message. My assumption is that, it is up to the eNodeB to decided if the RRC Connection should be re-established with new parameters or release the RRC connection by sending the reject message.

ReplyDeleteWhen eNB receives the RRC Connection Reestablishment request, it'll check if it has the UE context (received from UE in the request- MAC-I, CRNTI, Physical Cell ID) with it. If it has the context (any of the cells under this eNB to which UE was attached or this eNB has received the info from any other eNB) then it'll send the RRCConnectionReestablishment to UE. If it doesn't have then it will send RRC Connection Reestablishment Reject to UE. However, if eNB sends RRC Connection Reetablishment to UE and UE doesn't respond with RRC Connection Reestablishment Complete, eNB will send RRC Connection Release to UE.

ReplyDeleteCASE 1: when im checking Inter HO, I get RRC RE-ESTBLISHMENT REJECT MESSAGE. What is the Reason of this ? Neighour site take HO or not ? Is it defined neighbour or not ?
CASE 2: in checking inter ho, A3 Messages continuosly coming in event list,atlast get Abnormal event and then neighbour PCI came into serving. Is it defined neigbour or not ?
CASE 3: same type case 2, A3 measurements getting atlast Abnormal event and then LTE CELL RESELECTION Takes place (data not discconected). What is the reason of this? is It not defined neighbour?
CASE 4: When iam checking Intra or inter Hos, some times im getting RRC Restablishment success events(Instead of Intra/Inter enode-B HO success)?
Is it take handover or not defined ?

DeleteTimers T310 & T311 May be Expired, we can increase the timers and that may help to improve the RRC Connections re-establishment KPI, RRC Connections re-establishment is triggered at the time of HO to make sure the RLF maintained between UE and ENB.
